Pray Like You Have a Father (1)

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15)

When we read our Bibles we need to ask two questions (at least):

(1) What does it mean?

(2) So what should I think or believe or say or do in light of what it means?

So, in reference to Romans 8:15, let's bottom line the “what” and the “so what” right at the beginning.

What (is the point)?

The presence of the Spirit of adoption in our lives leads us to pray to God as our Father.

So what (should we think, desire, say, do, etc)?

So pray like you have a Father.

(This is an excerpt from the message on Sunday, Praying Like You Have a Father, that can be found at www.coastcommunitychurch.com/resources/sermon/WS-795)
